Joan L. Greeley Simpson, 87, of Lebanon, NH, died on April 7, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Hanover, NH, on November 13, 1929, the daughter of William Spaulding and Frances Greeley.
Joan was a graduate of Lebanon High School in the class of 1949. She received her Bachelor of Education degree from Keene State College in 1951.
She was a school teacher having worked at Orford High School, Enfield High School and for Stevens High School.
Joan belonged to the State of NH Retired Teachers and Keene State Alumni.
The family includes her husband, Forest A. Simpson, whom she married on June 20, 1953; two sons, Jeffrey A. Simpson and his wife, Pam of Hartford, VT, and Jerry S. Simpson and his wife, Kelly of Unity; one daughter, Judy B, Simpson of Lebanon; grandchildren, Alondra Guevara and her husband, Mario of Nashua, Amy Szmkiewicz of Newport, Lindsey Soultiotis and her husband, George of Williston, VT, Laura Come and her husband, Chuck of Claremont and Joseph Sajnacki of Gibsonton, FL; and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Tyler J. Simpson and granddaughter, Baylee J. Simpson Allard.
A graveside service will be held at West Claremont Burying Ground in Claremont on Saturday, April 22nd at 2 PM.
