Two Claremont firetrucks, Golden Cross Ambulance and a Claremont Police Department cruiser responded to the Claremont airport Wednesday afternoon following a report that a small plane was having landing gear problems. The plane, a Cessna 210, circled the area for a while burning off fuel before attempting to land. The plane did land safely, “it didn’t come far down the runway,” said an eyewitness on scene. The pilot exited the aircraft and was reportedly fine with no issues, said the Claremont Fire Department. (Bill Binder photos).
