Ruth Bradish Kinson, 83, of Claremont, NH, a former longtime resident of Charlestown, NH, died on March 18, 2017, at the Elm Wood Center in Claremont.
She was born in Charlestown, NH, on November 11, 1933 the daughter of Verne and Marion (Prescott) Bradish.
She was a member of the first class to graduate from the “new” Charlestown High School on Main Street in 1951. She then went on to graduate from Keene Teachers College in 1955.
Ruth taught second grade at Way School in Claremont and then taught the first kindergarten class in the new Charlestown Primary School in 1969. She worked as Office Manager at VNA- Home Healthcare Services in Charlestown until her retirement in November 1998.
Ruth was active in the Charlestown Congregational Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher, and the United Methodist Church in North Charlestown. She was a loving, caring friend to many, many people, and will be greatly missed. Above all else, Ruth was a wonderful, devoted mother and wife.
Ruth was the widow of Ernest Richard Kinson, Jr., whom she married on July 3, 1955; he died on January 31, 1999.
The family includes four sons, Steve Kinson, Paul Kinson, Ted Kinson and Jon Kinson; one daughter, Lynda Ruth Kinson; a sister, Dorothy Bradish Lewis; ten very special grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Bradish Foshey and a brother, Raymond Bradish.
Since 2010, Ruth lived happily at Silver Maples in Claremont where she developed many fond friendships, including her special friend Loretta.
There will be a memorial service at the United Methodist Church in North Charlestown on Friday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m.
