Patricia Olive Hardy, 85, of Charlestown, NH, died Sunday morning, November 3, 2019, at Westwood Nursing Home in Keene, NH.
She was born in Bellows Falls, VT, on March 3, 1934, the daughter of Arnold and Rosamond (Pollard) Fish and was a lifelong resident of Charlestown.
Pat graduated in the class of 1952 from Charlestown High School.
She married Basil Hardy in August 30, 1958; he died on February 11, 2014. She and Basil owned and operated the Fish Dairy Farm in Charlestown. She also worked for 56 years for Connecticut River Bank, retiring in 2006.
In her spare time, Patricia catered weddings and parties, making all occasion cakes. Christmas cookies were one of her specialties, all hand decorated.
Patricia was the secretary and a den mother for the Boy Scouts for over 40 years. She was also a Girl Scout leader; and a long-time member of the South Parish Church in Charlestown.
She is survived by their three children, Elizabeth Ann Hardy and her partner, Ron LeClair; Paul Hardy and Peter Hardy all of Charlestown; two grandchildren, Ashley Hardy and Erica Hess of Ohio; three sisters, Pauline Mitchell and Prudence Fish of Arizona, Penelope Spaulding of Charlestown; one sister-in-law, Beverly Willis and her husband Red of Derby Line, VT; also nephews, nieces and cousins.
A graveside service will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown on Thursday, November 14th at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Boy Scout Troop 31 in Charlestown, NH.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
