William (Bill) George Oliver, 63, of Claremont, NH, passed away on November 1, 2019, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, after a period of failing health.
He was born in Claremont, NH, on January 18, 1956, the son of George H. and Mary E. (Thibault) Oliver.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 29, and proud to be a Veteran. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and loved playing cribbage. He also enjoyed cooking on the grill and was considered “The Grill Master”.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Cook) Oliver; two daughters; three sisters, Liane Westcott, Carolyn Faucher and her husband, George all of Claremont and Joyce Eaton and her husband, Rick of Newport; one brother, Jeffrey Oliver and his wife, Wendy of Canaan; many nieces and nephews. Also, two sisters-in-law, Debra Bunnell of Claremont and Diana Patterson of Navarre, FL.
He was predeceased by his parents, one infant sister, Judith Oliver and his best friend, Gary Craig.
A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 29 in Claremont on Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
