Donald L. Davey, 70, of Morway’s Park in Charlestown, NH, died Saturday (March 4, 2017) at Elm Wood Center in Claremont, NH, following a brief illness.
He was born in Boston, MA, on May 22, 1946, the son of Marion Davey. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Elwood and Marion LaClair. Donald was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a truck driver by DeCato Brothers Trucking, RD Transport, RSD Trucking and Daniels Trucking. Donald enjoyed shooting, listening to country music and taking motorcycle rides.
Members of his family include his wife, Elaine (Hopkins) Davey, Claremont, NH; three brothers, Rodney LaClair and his wife, Beverly, Newport, NH; David LaClair and his wife, Mary, Unity, NH; Dale LaClair, Claremont, NH; four sisters, Rose Kennett and her husband, Leslie, Newport, NH; Gloria LaClair, Claremont, NH; Margaret LaClair, Springfield, VT; Sharon LaFont and her husband, Raymond, Claremont, NH, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday (March 8) at the Roy Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna Leslie, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm also on Wednesday at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH on Wednesday morning from 9:30am until the time of services.
