Irene Fowler, 82 of 243 Broad Street in Claremont, NH, died Sunday (March 5, 2017)) at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, following a period of failing health.
She was born in Springfield, VT, on March 15, 1934, the daughter of Everrette and Clara (Chevalier) Jackson and had been a lifetime area resident. Irene had been employed by several area shoe shops as well as the Moody Hotel. She was the widow of Maurice Fowler who died in 2004.
Members of her family include two sons, Dennis Fowler and his wife, Kelly, Goshen, NH; William Fowler and his wife, Samantha, Polk City, FL; three daughters, Marie Breihan and her husband, William, St. Louis, MO; Gloria Simmoneau and her husband, Robert, Newport, NH; Donna White, Winchester, NH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters, Helen Osgood, Pittsburg, NH; Linda Ponds, Claremont, NH; Nancy Holland, Lynch Station, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Jackson.
There will be no visiting hours.
Graveside Committal Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday (March 9) in Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Kearns, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society, 14 Tremont Street, Claremont, NH 03743.
