Gary W. Aldrich Sr., 73, of Claremont, NH, passed away on March 23, 2022, at his home.
He was born in Claremont, NH, on January 7, 1949, the son of Oliver and Annie (Dalton) Aldrich.
Gary had worked at Joy Manufacturing, was an excellent cook, working for the Cote Restaurant, The Heritage Restaurant and Sunapee Country Club.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion Post #29 and the VFW in Claremont.
He is survived by his sisters, Judy Royce-Chaples and her husband, Dennis of Cape Coral, FL, and Charlestown, NH; and Anne Nix and her husband, Steve of Springfield, VT; brother, Dennis Aldrich of Lyme, NH; his son, Gary Aldrich, Jr., and fiancé, Jennifer Durkee of North Walpole; stepchildren, Steven Ferland of Claremont; Gary “Buckwheat” Ferland of Charlestown; Lynn Hannan of Newport; Tracy Spaulding of Charlestown; and Deborah Ferland of Claremont; five grandchildren, Tyler, Michaela, Zachary, Madison and Teagan; eight step grandchildren, Cynthia, Brian, Dani, Lindsey, Sherri, Christopher, Steven and Shania; great grandchild, Bailey; and two step great grandchildren, Oakleigh, Everly and Tyler.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Dorothy M. Aldrich in 2015.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at the Claremont American Legion Post 29 on Broad Street in Claremont on Sunday, April 10th from 12:30 to 4PM.
