Edward J. Graff, 98, formerly of Sandy Lane in Charlestown, NH, died Tuesday (August 15, 2017) at Valley Regional Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Jersey City, NJ, on July 16, 1919, the son of Joseph F. and Genevieve (Bergin) Graff and had been an area resident for a number of years. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. Edward had been employed as a postal worker by the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family.
Members of his family include a daughter, Kathleen Erisman, Claremont, NH; a son, James Graff, Charlestown, NH, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters, Ida Mae Stephanian, Genevieve McGrath, Josephine Ann Bannon and Frances Graff.
There will be no visiting hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Charlestown Bible Church37 Hammond Road, Charlestown, NH 03603 at 2:00 pm on Saturday (August 26) with Pastor David Becker, officiating.
