David T. Companion, 58 of Claremont, NH, died unexpectedly on Thursday (Oct. 29, 2020) at Valley Regional Hospital.
He was born in Claremont, NH, on November 1, 1961, the son of Ronald and Pauline (Martin) Companion and had been a lifetime Claremont resident. He attended Claremont schools. David had been employed by the City of Claremont.
Members of his family include a son, Thomas Companion and his wife, Paige; Thomas’s mother, Pamela (Livingston) Provencher; his stepmother, Charlotte (LeBlanc) (McNamara) Companion; sisters, Rita Gibson and her partner, Edward Smith; Sue Roy and her significant other, Roger Meier, Jr.; step- sister, Dawn Norton and her husband, Gary; brothers, Michael Companion; Dan Companion and his wife, Jane; Peter Companion and his wife, Sharon; stepbrothers, Dennis McNamara and his wife, Heather; Kevin McNamara and his wife, Amy; his significant other, Pam Phaneuf; her children Bryan Phaneuf, Shawn Phaneuf; his former wife, Sue Bouthiette; several nieces; nephews; grand nieces and nephews; great grand nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Carissa Companion; a brother, Raymond Williams; a sister, Theresa Morrow; a stepbrother, William McNamara; and an aunt, Jackie Snide.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society, 14 Tremont Street, Claremont, NH 03743.
