CLAREMONT, NH–On Jan. 26, officers of the Claremont Police Department arrested Kenneth Claflin, 21, Claremont, NH. He was charged with Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, which is a Class “A” felony.
The arrest of Claflin follows an investigation that began on Jan. 21 when a four-year-old child reported that they had been assaulted, said the Claremont Police Dept. The investigation into this crime was conducted in conjunction with the NH Division for Children, Youths and Families and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Child Advocacy Center.
Claflin was arraigned in the Claremont District Court on Jan. 26 where cash bail was set at $10,000. Claflin was later transported to the Sullivan County House of Corrections in Unity, NH.
The prosecution of this case will be handled by the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office. Claflin is scheduled to appear on February 9 at 1:00 PM for a probable cause hearing.
