She was a 1943 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Mrs. Cook worked as a night companion for over 25 years for Verna Thibeault and she retired in 1997. She had previously worked at Don’s Market for 17 years and F.W. Woolworth for a short period of time. She was a member of the Claremont Senior Center and the Claremont A.A.R.P.
Her family includes her sons, Kenneth E. Cook and his wife, Elaine of Windham, ME, Donald E. Cook of Newport; grandchildren, Stephanie Cook, Jeffrey Cook and his wife Billie of ME; great grandchildren, Spencer Cook, Ian Cook; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; son, Alan E. Cook; sister, Hazel Montano; and brother, Stanton Doiron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Claremont on July 27th at 11 AM. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
