She will be missed dearly by her children, Lisa and Ralph Clayton, and grandchildren, Stephanie, Cale, Dallas, Riley, Cory, Angel and Phoenix, who were the pride and joys of her life. She was predeceased by all of her siblings and her daughter, Linda, who unfortunately also lost her battle with cancer in 2015.
Carol was a kind, loving soul who brought so much joy and happiness to everyone whose lives she touched. She always had a warm smile on her face and said “I’m doing good,” even if she wasn’t, because the last thing she ever wanted was for people to worry about her. Even days before her passing she said, “I’m getting better” just to ease the minds of her loved ones before she went to sleep and finally achieved eternal peace.
She will be missed so dearly by all of her friends and family, but what she would want most is for everyone to cherish the memories that were shared with her, and not dwell upon her passing. She’s at peace now with loved ones who have passed before her, and for that we should be thankful.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated with her ashes spread by her closest friends and family in Hampton Beach, and no formal funeral service will be held.
“Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey has just begun
Life holds so many facts this earth is only one
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears
In the place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today
How nothing but our sadness can really pass away
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she’s touched
For nothing note is ever lost and she was loved so much” —Ellen Brenneman
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
