David J. Baldasaro went to be with the Lord on Sunday 1/28/18 at Valley Regional Hospital after a brief illness. David was raised in Charlestown, NH, and graduated from the Charlestown school district. He was the son Guy and Nelda (Williams) Baldasaro who predeceased him.
David served in the Marines for three years, he worked as a department manager for several retail stores, but for the last 18 years he worked for Walmart in lawn and garden. David knew everything there was to know about plants and vegetables and was always happy to share his knowledge with the customer, the customer always came first. In earlier years David raced a stock car at Claremont speedway, he loved music, and for a while played drums in a band. He went to the original Woodstock, back in 1969. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots, and NASCAR racing. In 1984 David married his wife Shirley, they shared thirty-three happy years together, they enjoyed vacations in Maine and the White Mountains, dancing, and family gatherings, David made sure nobody went away hungry.
David is survived by his wife Shirley Baldasaro, one brother Ernie Baldasaro, three sons, Dana Dibenedictis and his wife Coleen, Douglas Dibenedictis, Charles Wheeler and his wife Bonnie. Two daughters Anna Wright, Cathy Sullivan and her husband Peter. Two grandsons. Adam Dibenedictis and Ryan Sullivan. Five granddaughters, Nicole Wheeler, Allannah Wright, Alicia Wright, Tori Dibenedictis and Meena Dibenedictis and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday (Feb. 1) at St. Mary’s Church with the Rev. Michael Monette, pastor of St. Patrick’s Parish, officiation. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Roy Funeral home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH on Wednesday evening from 7 – 9 PM. Visiting hours will be held at Roy Funeral Home Wednesday 1/31/18 from 7-9 Mass at St. Mary’s church in Claremont and burial to follow.
