WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT–Glory Days Festival celebrates its 24th year as a family oriented, fun-filled, two- day festival of the railroading and transportation modes of the past, present and future. The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Free admission. The Festival events include: evening photo shoot($), dinner train($), excursion train rides($), LEGO train show, model train show, children entertainment, main stage music performances, food, engine displays, and tractors. Saturday excursions are a 45-minute ride departing on the hour beginning at 10:30 a.m., and Sunday excursions are an hour and half ride departing at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Excursion tickets: Saturday $10.00/person and Sunday excursion $15/person. Excursion tickets are sold at the festival or on-line at www.hartfordrec.com. The Children’s Stage will feature dazzling performers, and the Main Stage will come alive with musicians from around New England. A Murder Mystery Train excursion will be held on Saturday night.
