Yvon Gerald “Frenchy” Jacques, 78, of Claremont, NH, passed away Friday, September 27th, 2019, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
He was born in East Angus, PQ, Canada, on June 14, 1941. He was the son of George and Diana (Ryan) Jacques and had been a longtime Claremont resident. Frenchy was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1962, and was a veteran of the US Army. Frenchy had been employed by Joy MFG and Sullivan Machine for nearly 30 years. Following his retirement he was a bartender at the Claremont Elks Lodge #879 until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed many pastimes, including golf, camping, and cooking but above all, his family, friends and his dogs were most important.
Members of his family include his wife, Ann (Gabert) Jacques, whom he married on May 9, 1981, Claremont, NH; three sons, Scott Jacques, St. Petersburg, FL; Spencer Jacques, Accomac, VA; Bradley Jacques, Claremont, NH; two daughters, Cindy-Ann Musial, Tampa, FL; Lynn-Ann Davis, Manchester, NH; four grandchildren, Tori Jacques, Whitney Jacques, Noah Davis, Hayden Musial, one great grandson, Ridley Landry and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Rossio Jacques, Cyril Jacques, Palmus Jacques, Jean Guy Jacques and two sisters, Georgette Jacques Benjamin, and Jean de Arc Jacques Gendron.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 5th, at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH, with the Rev. Arockia Antony, officiating. Committal with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the services begins.
