Woody Wade Ballard, 42, died at his home in Unity on Tuesday, March 19. He was the son of Dennis and Adele (Wade) Ballard, born June 2, 1976 in Fort Ord, CA. He leaves his father, a son, Blake (Nathan), brother, Barry and sister-in-law LeeAnn, and sister, Cathy who are all living in Florida.
His mother predeceased him in 2011.
Woody grew up in the Enfield – Lebanon areas well as Claremont, and lived his last 28 years in Unity with his step-father, Bruce Howard and housemate, Terry Howard. Woody suffered with epilepsy so he couldn’t drive a car. He worked odd jobs and yard work that he could walk to, and many people saw him and gave him rides as he walked back and forth to Claremont. He had a kind heart and loved living near the woods to see the deer, bear and other wild animals. He leaves many friends in Unity. He is missed.
There will be no visiting hours, and donations are accepted gratefully for his burial.
Graveside committal services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday April 11, in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Please contact Judi Tatem at 603-543-0955 or Bruce Howard at 603-477-3364 for donations.
You are invited to share a memory of Woody with the family or leave a message of condolence in the family guest book at www.royfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Roy Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
