SUNAPEE, NH–First responders at the Sunapee Fire Department (SFD) are urgently asking community members, especially labor related businesses, with extras of specific supplies to donate to them in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
There is a national shortage of personal protective equipment that helps make first responders safe. We are asking people with an abundance of the following items on hand, to please consider donating to them:
-N95 masks (if you don’t know what N95 is, then you don’t have any) -Disposable surgical gowns or covers -Procedural / Surgical masks -Face shields -Disinfectant wipes -Hand sanitizer
If you have access or have an abundance of these items and are willing to part with some, please contact Austin Brown by calling 603-867-8288 or through email at brown.t.austin@gmail.com to arrange pickup.
In addition, the SFD is always looking for new members to join our department. Due to the current status of the pandemic we are looking to gather information about residents with a clinical past (physicians, advanced care providers, nurses, EMS) who would be willing to assist should the need arise. Furthermore, we are looking for already state or nationally licensed medical providers. If you are interested in joining the department, we ask you to send an email to fireclerk@town.sunapee.nh.us or call 603-398-8717.
