CLAREMONT, NH–There will be a new summer music series coming to Claremont this summer. In conjunction with the Claremont Citizen’s Group (CCG), the Arrowhead Recreation Area will present the Summerfest Concert Series 2016, a series of live concerts to be held at the Claremont Recreation Area beginning in late May and running through September. Organizers hope the concert will be an annual summer event.
CCG is a local citizen volunteer group that has been on scene for two years now. The group’s goal here is to create a new and fun revenue stream for Arrowhead and bring visitors to Claremont to a venue that can be enjoyed all year round. The Arrowhead property is owned by the City and depends on fundraising and volunteers, including the Arrowhead Recreation Club, to run the facility. CCG learned through a recent online survey that music events would be a strongly desired and supported during the off winter months where tubing, skiing and snowboarding are enjoyed.
