Stephen G. Heavisides, 76, of Charlestown, NH, after a four-year valiant and hard-fought battle with cancer, is now at peace. His wife, children, grandchildren, sister and brothers were by his side.
He will be missed for his strength, his love, his laughter, his courage and his smile.
He was born on May 16, 1941, the son of John and Erma (Nichols) Heavisides.
He was a graduate of Hartford High School in the class of 1960.
He married Sandra Wells on July 15, 1961.
He retired from Ralph L. Osgood Inc after many years in sales.
He enjoyed traveling to Alaska, hunting and fishing with his family, watching his grandchildren play sports, woodworking and playing on his tractor.
The surviving family includes his wife, Sandra Heavisides , his daughters, Charlene Mitchell and her husband, Ron, Vickie Barrett and her husband, Robert, Michelle Duford and her husband, Kevin; his son, John Heavisides and his wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Geffrey Mitchell and his wife, Kaylin, Timothy Mitchell and his fiancé, Maggie Bailey, Laura Barrett and her fiancé, Nick Cutts, Jonathan Barrett and his wife, Gretchen, Abbey Duford and her significant other, Bradley Shumway, Amber Duford, Morgan Heavisides and her significant other, Collin Allard, Kearstyn Boucher, Hunter, Baylie and Lyllie Heavisides; great grandchildren, Jacob Barrett and Madison Cutts, his sister, Shirley Clifford, his brothers, Douglas Heavisides and Jack Heavisides
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Erma Heavisides, his sister, Eloise Brantley, his baby brother, Richard Heavisides.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at Hope Hill Cemetery in North Charlestown on Saturday, November 25th, at 11 AM with Rev. Paul Gibbons, officiating. A reception will follow.
