Ruth Rutledge Schneider, 85, of 45 Brandon Place, Claremont, NH, died peacefully September 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 15, 1936, daughter of Kenneth and Muriel Rutledge.
She was a devoted stay-at-home mother raising her four children and began her much loved career teaching at the Cornish Elementary School which went on for fifty years. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
Her family includes her includes her two daughters Debbie Laffin, Kimberley Schneider Raney, and two sons Robert K. and Jeffrey Schneider; nine grandchildren, Jason and Justin Laffin, Robert and Gregory Schneider and Kathryn Silverman, Zackary and Mariah Emond, and Hans Schneider; five great grandchildren, Taelyn and Kelsey Laffin, Bobby and Ronan Schneider and Zander Emond.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Schneider in 2001, one son Steven Schneider in 1959 and a daughter-in-law Linda Schneider in 2020.
Ruth had many interests; she loved her birds, gardening, enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and many crafts with her daughters.
She will be missed by all those she loved and all those whose hearts she touched.
There will be a family graveside celebration of her life October 3, 2021.
The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice that supports children.
