Ruth H. Hubbell Price, 80, of Claremont, NH, passed on February 24, 2020, in Dartmouth-Hitchcock medical center, after a sudden illness.
Born in Wisconsin on September 25, 1939, she was a long-time resident of Claremont from about 1940. She moved with her employment to Keene (1976) and Laconia (1987) and retired to Lakeland, FL (1991) before moving back to Claremont in 2008.
Ruth graduated from Stevens High School with the class of 1958 and was retired from New England Telephone Company (NYNEX)(Verizon).
Ruth loved cats, taking scenic drives around New Hampshire and working on jigsaw puzzles. Ruth always kept busy with smaller jobs like selling Amway and Fuller Brush. During her retirement, she worked in the store at the Earl Bourdon Center in Claremont. Ruth was a devout Christian and listened to the services of The Church at the Mall (Lakeland, FL), every Sunday morning, you could find her sitting in front of her computer streaming the live services from Lakeland, FL.
She is survived by her ex-husband Robert M. Hubbell of Florida, a daughter, Brenda Hubbell Kenyon and her husband Heath of New Hampshire, a son, Mark R. Hubbell and his wife Jennifer of New Hampshire, two grandsons Zach R. Hubbell and his wife Cara and Mark M. Hubbell, also of New Hampshire, along with 2 great granddaughters. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred & Hester Price of Claremont and her brother Ray Price of Oregon.
Calling hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Monday March 2nd from 5pm – 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 3rd at 2:00pm at the Stringer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
