Ronald I. Rines, 84, of Pearl Street in Newport, NH, died Thursday (February 9, 2017) at his home, following a period of failing health.
He was born in Unity, NH, on April 13, 1932, the son of Kenneth and Ethel (Rines) (Parizo) Bly and had been a lifetime area resident. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served from 1953 – 1955. Ronald had been employed by Lebanon Crushed Stone. He later worked for Carroll Concrete and also as a tractor trailer driver by PAK in Newport, NH. He was a member of American Legion Post #25 in Newport. He enjoyed building models, taking long drives and working on vehicles.
Members of his family include five sons, Edward Rines and his wife Patty, FL; Ronald Boardman and his wife, Peggy, Idaho; Scott Rines and his wife, Laurie, Newport, NH; Emery Rines and his wife, Virginia, Newport, NH; William Rines and his wife, Angel, Newport, NH; a daughter, Risa Jones and her husband, John, Claremont, NH; a sister, Linda Bartlett, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (Feb. 14) at the Roy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Kearns, officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH on Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM.
