Ronald G. Merrill, 70, passed away February 15, 2020, at Elmwood Center in Claremont, NH. He was born on December 9, 1949 the son Stanley T. Merrill and Alice Holden Merrill and lived in Charlestown, NH, until the age of 40; he then moved to Claremont where he lived the rest of his life, first at Sugar River Mills and recently at Elm Wood Center where he had been for six months. As a young man he loved to hunt, fish and played softball on his family team. Ron loved to deer hunt and was very proud of getting the biggest deer that anyone in the family had ever gotten. It was a massive 8-point buck weighting 237 pounds.
His family includes two brothers, Gary W. Merrill, Sr. and his wife Sandra, Daniel D. Merrill and his wife, Midge; his sister, Sandra Merrill Hosking and her husband, John; sister-in-law, Arlene Merrill; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Stanley T. Merrill, Jr., and sister-in-law, Brenda.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown, NH.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
