Roberta R. Morrow, 89, formerly of Memorial Drive, passed away peacefully on Monday night, February 27th, 2017, at the Sullivan County Nursing Home. She was born in Claremont, NH, on April 7, 1927, the daughter of Oney and Reita (LaBreque) Russell.
She was a graduate of Stevens High School and was an avid athlete.
She married Roland “Rocky” Morrow on August 7, 1954, and together they started a life of many adventures and travels. They did many Caribbean cruises with her brothers Amos and Omer Russell along with their wives. They enjoyed the trip to Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach and Florida. She was a life long member of the Claremont Country Club and enjoyed golfing with all her friends. She loved to work in her flower gardens, sit by her pool, go to bingo, play cards, and go to as many social gatherings as possible where she always found someone to dance with. She loved going to Hampton Beach every summer with her family and grandsons.
The surviving family includes one son, Russell J. Morrow of Claremont, NH; one daughter, Suzanne Barnard and her husband Keith of Claremont, NH; two grandsons, Cody Zombeck and Zachary Zombeck; and one great grandson Zeke Zombeck, all three from Rochester, NH; also many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roland “Rocky” Morrow, and two brothers, Amos Russell and Omer Russell.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and especially her best buddy, Ralphie who was always by her side,
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Sunday afternoon, March 5th, from 2 to 4 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday morning, March 6th at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church with Father Shawn Therrien officiating
Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
A reception will be held at the Claremont Country Club.
