Robert H. Biron, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born November 29, 1937, in Lewiston, ME, to Anita and Antonio Biron. At age 6, he moved to Claremont, NH, with his family after the passing of his father. In 1954, he enlisted in the US Navy where he “got to see the world” and came home with a tattoo and many stories
that always enraptured his audience. In 1959, he met his true love, Nancy. They were married in 1960 and together they raised their three children, Mark, Amy and Catherine.
Bob worked as a welder at J&L in the 60ʼs in Springfield, VT. He moved his career to the flooring business and he and his wife ran a successful business that is still going thirty-four years later. He retired in 2004 and enjoyed his life-long love of antique cars. Bob loved visiting local places and chatting it up with everyone and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son mark and wife Heather of Merrimack, NH; daughters, Catherine Herbert and husband Jim of Claremont and Amy Zullo and her husband Patrick of Newport; six grandchildren, Tara, Loren, Claudia, Emily, Mia and Kellan; sister Mary Allen of Melbourne, FL. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Antonio and Roger.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Wednesday evening, December 30th, from 5 to 8 PM. A celebration of his life will be held at a later time in the summer.
