Richard (Dick) John Contois, 77, a resident of Claremont, NH, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at his home.
Born in Lebanon on March 31, 1939, he was the son of Albert and Sylvia(Cameron) Contois. Dick was educated in the local Lebanon school system. He proudly served his country in the US Army. After serving his country he worked for many years at Claremont Woven Label and moved with the company to New Jersey and North Carolina. After retirement Dick resided at his home in Claremont. He loved the outdoors, gardening, hunting and working on mechanical projects, most of all he loved being with his family.
Dick was predeceased by his brother Rodney in 2015 and a nephew Anthony Contois.
Dick is survived by his son Terry Contois of Claremont, his wife Jackie, and their children Jacob, Morgan and Jillian; his son Todd of White River Jct., VT and his children Sarah and Todd Jr. He is also survived by his brother Maynard Contois of Bedford, NH and the mother of his children, Janice Woodward of White River Jct., VT; a niece, many cousins and friends.
According to Dick’s wishes, there will be no service or calling hours at this time. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
