Raymond Michael Miller, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2017, at home with his family. He was born in Mount Kisco, NY, on November 18, 1950, at 3:35 in the morning.
Ray was a graduate of Stevens High School in 1970. He was a master carpenter and a skilled machinist. He worked in the housing industry as a foreman for Customized Structures in Claremont and also had his own construction and renovation business. He worked at Sturm Ruger for 20 + years.
For many years you could find Ray with his late wife Donna on the Connecticut River or another local body of water enjoying the sun on his boat. Ray loved camping with his family and friends. He was always there for his family and friends when they needed him. He was nurturing and cherished the time he spent with his family.
His surviving family are his brothers Dennis Miller of Putney, VT, Dan Miller of Claremont, NH, Larry Miller of Claremont, NH, his sister Maureen Wallace of Manchester, NH, his son Heath Edward Miller of Swanzey, NH, his daughter Dawn Christine Miller of Claremont, NH, his granddaughters Nicole Crate and Genae Miller, his nieces and nephews Mathew, Dan, Danielle, Michael, Sydney, Tim and Katie Miller.
He was predeceased by his wife Donna Filion Miller of Claremont, NH. She passed in February of 2004, father George Edward Miller, mother Catherine Viola Miller, brothers Eddie Miller, Buddy Miller, and Jim Miller.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Saturday afternoon, August 19th, from 1 to 2:30 pm with a service to follow. His ashes will be placed at Mt. View Cemetery in Claremont with his beloved wife, Donna Filion Miller.
