In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, and in accordance with other hospitals throughout the state and country, Valley Regional Hospital will begin curtailing all non-urgent services and elective procedures effective immediately. With the growing impact of this pandemic on our region it is our responsibility to mitigate the trajectory of the curve and to protect our staff and our community. Reducing patient traffic to those who only require essential services will now be our priority strategy.
Additionally, a nationwide shortage of critical supplies is forcing Valley Regional Hospital, and hospitals across the country, to strategically focus on maintaining the availability of supplies and equipment during this challenging period.
Examples of elective appointments include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, standard physicals, routine colonoscopies, audiology visits, etc. We will reach out to patients who already have appointments to make them aware of these new changes, and we will keep you informed as information develops.
We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we work to keep our community calm, informed and safe.
