Nancy Ellen Bourgoine, 60, of Claremont, NH, died peacefully at her home surrounded by those she loved on April 20, 2017, after a brave battle with cancer.
She was born to Elizabeth and James Fallon in Westerly, RI, on February 14, 1957. She graduated from East Greenwich High School in 1975 and soon after moved to Claremont where she met her husband of 34 years, William Bourgoine. Her love of horses and trail riding with her husband solidified their relationship and they soon brought two children into the world, Amanda and James Bourgoine. Nancy’s love of nature included family camping trips and flower and vegetable gardening. She loved her weekends taking care of her friends at Woodlawn Care Center and also at the gift shop at Sunapee Harbor. Nancy also worked full time at Oldenburg Cannon for ten years and then Canaam Steel as a purchaser until December of this past year. Nancy was also very active in her children’s lives, whether it was cheering on the sidelines at sporting events or volunteering with Boy Scout Troop 38.
She is survived by her husband, William Bourgoine, daughter, Amanda Bourgoine, son, James Bourgoine, and brother, Brian Fallon.
Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Sunday, April 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
