Nancy Blanchard, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Sullivan County Health Care. She lived at Windy Acres Park in Charlestown NH.
She was the daughter of Louis Zuccaro and Rose Demijohn born in Claremont, NH. Nancy attended and graduated from St. Mary’s School in Claremont.
She traveled to Florida and California then back to Claremont with her husband and 4 children.
She began working at a couple of shoe factories in Sunapee, and Encore Shoe factory in Kellyville. She also worked at Tambrand, Petersons Plastic and Stratton Mountain.
In 1980, she was remarried to George Blanchard.
Nancy moved to Windy Acres where she had several positions, Head of Maintenance and Head of the Water Department. She was a Notary Public.
She was instrumental in getting Blanchard Hall built and getting the caution light on Charlestown Road going into the park. She always lent a hand when needed and would go out of her way to help anyone.
Nancy was an animal lover. She especially loved her bird, “Buddy”, and her dogs “Toby”, “Becky”, “Cody” and “Lukey”.
Nancy is survived by her four children, Joyce Watkins and husband Mike from Springfield, VT; Gail Stone from Charlestown, NH; Roland Lord Jr. and partner Wanda from Charlestown NH; Rich Lord from North Carolina.
She had seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, and two brothers Pat Zuccale, and Louey Zuccaro, her husbands Roland Lord Sr., George Blanchard, and granddaughter Crissy Lord.
Calling hours will be at the Stringer Funeral Home from 10-11 AM on Saturday, January 30, with a service at 11 AM.
Please join Nancy’s family for a celebration of her life at the Blanchard Hall at Windy Acres in Charlestown, NH, following the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lost My Way Animal Shelter, care of Cathy Sullivan.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Funeral Home and Nancy’s family ask all attending the visitation and service to abide with all regulations and please wear a mask and use social distancing.
