Mildred E. Hooper, 84, of Heritage Drive in Claremont, NH, died Thursday (January 26, 2017) at her daughter’s home in Windsor, VT, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester, NH, on September 5, 1932, the daughter of John and Irma (Morgan) Lakeman and had been a longtime area resident. She had been employed at Market Basket in Claremont. Mildred enjoyed crocheting and knitting and spending time with her family. She was the widow of Roger Hooper.
Members of her family include a daughter, Linda Taylor and her husband, Ed, Windsor, VT; three sons, Kenneth Buswell and his wife, Sue, Newport, NH; Clarence Gee, Sr. and his wife, Arlene, Claremont, NH; Charles Gee, Hillsboro, NH; four stepsons, Dean Hooper, Claremont, NH; Robert Hooper, Newport, NH; Roger Hooper, Jr., Newport, NH; Richard Hooper, Newport, NH, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A time of remembrance and sharing will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday evening (Jan. 31) at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH.
