Melvin R. Wing, 76, of Heritage Drive in Claremont, NH, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday (June 7, 2016). He was born in Harford, CT, on August 15, 1939, the son of Harold H. and Yvonne (Belisle) Wing and had been a Claremont resident for the past 10 years, moving here from Massachusetts. Melvin received his Associate Degree in Social Work. He had also graduated from Elohim Bible Institute in Castile, NY, where he received his pastorate degree. Melvin had been employed by Pathways in Claremont, NH. He was a strong Christian and enjoyed, art, gardening, dancing, cooking but his greatest love was for his family.
Members of his family include two sons, Timothy J. Wing, Charleston, SC; Daniel H. Wing, Eugene, OR; two daughters, Lisa Macie, Springfield, VT; Joanna Hartwell, Hartland, VT; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Carol Wing.
There will be no visiting hours. A Celebration of Melvin’s life will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday (June 13) at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church on Main Street in Windsor, VT with Pastor Paul Voltman, officiating.
