Lois R. Collins, 81, of River Road in Claremont, NH, died Tuesday (July 2, 2019) at Valley Regional Hospital with her children by her side.
She was born in Dandridge, TN, on June 30, 1938, the daughter of Richard and Francine (Green) Myers and had been a Claremont resident for many years. Lois had been employed as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, keeping up with current events and reading. She was a devoted football fan, especially of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and the New England Patriots. She was the widow of Daniel Collins who died in 2007.
Members of her family include a son, Larry Collins, Claremont, NH; a daughter, Leslie Collins, Claremont, NH; three grandchildren, David Danny and Amanda; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Myers and Randy Myers.
There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday (July 9) at St. Mary’s Church with the Very Reverend Shawn M. Therrien, officiating. Committal will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
