Kenneth LaClair, died on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the age of 56.
He was born on February 27, 1960, to Cecil and Joyce LaClair, of Cornish, NH.
He lived for a time in California and Florida before returning to the Newport, Claremont area.
Ken was predeceased by his parents.
His family includes his wife, Debby (O’Connor), who he married on April 29th 1978. They enjoyed 38 years together.
He is also survived by his favorite son, Patrick, his wife, Donna, Ken’s favorite daughter in-law, and their son Caden, Ken’s favorite #1 grandson; Ken’s favorite daughter, Brandee LaClair Phiri, and her husband, Albert, Ken’s favorite son in-law, their daughter, Tatonda, Ken’s favorite granddaughter and Ken’s favorite #2 grandson, Laviel; Ken’s brothers, Daniel, Douglas and his wife, Linda, Stewart and his wife, Sandy; his sisters, Matilda Stacey, Marinda Patterson and her husband, Cyril, Margaret Corliss and her husband, Steve, Cheryl Golembiowski and her husband, Chris.
Ken had many nieces, nephews and cousins, along with his wife’s family that he loved.
While Ken made a living as a farrier in the area and driving school bus, his life’s work was serving Jesus and telling the teens and everyone else to do the same. Most recently, he did this as the Youth Pastor at Grace River for over 15 years. During that time he and Debby organized trips to Costa Rica, Panama and Malawi Africa to do missions work spreading the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 6 to 8 PM.
Burial will be held at 9AM Thursday morning in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at the Grace River Church on Thursday morning at 10 AM.
