Kenneth H. “Kenny” Grinnell, 70, of Sugar River Drive in Claremont, NH, died Sunday (March 12, 2017) at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH, following a period of failing health.
He was born in Bridgeport, CT, on June 21, 1946, the son of Florence Grinnell and had been a longtime Claremont resident. Kenny had been employed in the shipping department at Whelen Engineering in Charlestown, NH. He was a member of the American Legion Post #29, VFW and the Claremont Elks Lodge #879. Kenny had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready to share a joke with anyone who would listen. He was an avid New England Patriots and New York Yankee fan. He loved has cats and always looked forward to attending and hosting family outings and cookouts.
Members of his family include his loving companion of 25 years, Linda Kingsbury, Claremont, NH; four daughters, Kelley Paton, Kimberly Sboros and her husband, John, Terry McCall and her husband, John, Melissa Maranville and her husband, AJ, III, a son Gary McCall and his wife, Heather, a brother Ed Grinnell and his wife, Catherine, a sister, Sharon Grinnell, one niece and two nephews, five grandchildren, Tyler Paton, Kimberly Roberts, Mikayla Contois, Nicholas McCall, Amerin McCall, a great grandson, Ganon Huot.
He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Provenzano.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday (March 18) at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 pm until the time of services.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to a humane society of one’s choice.
