John A. Cram, 70, entered into God’s kingdom November 18, 2021, after a brief period of failing health.
He was born in Newport, NH, the son of Burton and Joanne (Pariseau) Cram; he lived in Newport til the age of 7 and then moved to Arizona where he graduated from Cortez High School. He went on to a 2-year art school where he studied painting. In 1972 he returned home to New Hampshire where he made his home. John was a loving and caring father and very hard dedicated worker. He worked in several grocery stores in the area, lastly being Shaw’s in Springfield, VT. He was also employed by the City of Claremont as a custodian at the Fiske Free Library. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth Duplessis, on August 7th 1982;they were married February 19th 1983. John loved painting and sold several pieces of his art work, and that he was very proud of. He also played the guitar and sang, he loved most kinds of music both secular and contemporary Christian music. He was one of the first members of the praise and worship team at Riverstone Church. He was a devoted Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching “his” baseball games.
Members of his family include his wife Elizabeth Duplessis-Cram of Claremont; his mom, Joanne Cram of West Lebanon; two daughters, Gillian Dodge and husband Dartelle, Andrea Pickering and partner Brad of Bradford, VT; two sons, Matthew Pickering Croydon NH, and Gregory Pickering Newport NH; three brothers Michael Cram, Mexico, Robert Cram AZ, Frank Cram of Thetford, VT, three sisters-in-law Stefanie Barton, Renée Davis and Michelle Howard all of Claremont NH. Three grandchildren, Paige Dodge, Newport, NH, Natasha and husband Chris Herbert, Woodsville, NH, Perley Rich, Orleans, VT, and Clayton Rich, Newport, VT, a great grandson Raiden Herbert, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Tyler John Jeffrey Cram, his mother and father-in-law, George and Joan Duplessis.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, December 4th, at 3 PM at Riverstone Church, 739 Main Street, Claremont, NH, with Pastor Joe Gnatek, officiating.
