Jeri Jean Kangas, 57, of Claremont, NH, passed away suddenly on January 26, 2020. She was born in Claremont, NH, on August 19, 1962.
As a lifelong resident of Claremont, she attended Stevens High School with the class of 1980. Jeri worked as a dental receptionist for 32 years, many years with Dr. Pamplin and recently with Dr. Kramer. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and laughing with family and friends. Her hobbies included braiding rugs, shopping for shoes, and traveling with her best friend Joanie Vashaw, baking her famous cherry pie, and you could find her walking the dogs on Craigue Hill. Her sense of humor was one of a kind.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Stephen V. Kangas of Claremont, NH; son Kalen V. Kangas of Sunapee, NH; daughter Jennifer L. Dean and her husband John J. Dean and their children Rayden and Declan of Newbury, NH; mother-in-law Flora D. Kangas of Guild, NH; brother Arnold E. Craigue and his wife Deby D. Craigue, his daughter Lacey Fellows of Lempster, NH, and her partner Justin Westover and their children Izaak and Zayla; and Arnold and Deby’s children Arnold, Allison, and Ann-Marie of Claremont, NH; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
She was predeceased by her parents Paul E. Craigue and Irene B. (Kukkola) Craigue, of Claremont, NH.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 1st at Mountain View Cemetery, Claremont, NH. Celebration of Life will be held following services at Elks in Claremont, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Sullivan County Humane Society.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
