It is with profound sadness that the family of James P. Aiken announce his passing into the arms of heavenly angels on October 8, 2021; he was 68.
James was born June 17, 1953, the fifth child of Charles L. Aiken Sr. and Yvonne Alice (Sylvester) Aiken in Claremont, NH. James attended Claremont grammar schools and graduated from Stevens High School the class of 1973. James summered on Great Island in Lake Sunapee having a very busy and typical youth. James was an active drummer in numerous area bands. James was employed by Wainshal’s Furniture, Sturm Ruger and McBride Fabricators. James was single but was very family oriented always keeping abreast of all his loved ones.
James was predeceased by his parents Charles L. Aiken Sr. and Yvonne A. Aiken; his sisters Margret M. and Susan Ruth; his Brother David Russell, all of Claremont, NH.
James is survived by his brothers, Charles (Patricia) Aiken of Plainfield, NH. Timothy (Cheryl) Aiken of Claremont, NH, Paul Aiken (Elizabeth/ Beth Simpson) of Claremont, NH, Herrick Aiken of Newport, NH. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary Aiken of Claremont, NH. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Crotchet Mountain Community Care, and especially Pam, for the devoted and loving care they provide James.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday (October 16) at the Roy Funeral Home with the Rev. Arockia Antony, officiating. Committal will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of services. The family requests that all attending the service please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
