He was in the Army for four years and the Army Reserves for 28 years. He retired from Split Ball Bearing in Lebanon after many years. He was a long time member of the Lebanon Elks Club and was the past state president. He was a member of the Claremont Country Club and would spend his winters golfing in South Carolina.
His family and his favorite lady, Marie, of nine years, made him the happiest. Entertainment of many forms kept him energized, making people laugh at jokes, stories, golfing, singing, and performing on stage with his “Golden Oldies” from Myrtle Beach, SC. He was also a member of the Croydon Congregational Church and sang in a group called the Croydon Singers.
His family includes his daughter, Louann LaCasse and her husband, Daniel; his partner, Marie Duranleau; his sisters, Joyce Hill, Eunice Rich, Barbara Cutts and her husband, Bob; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Sanborn) Parker who passed away in 2003; his sisters, Lois Devins and Jane Sanborn.
Funeral services will be held at the Croydon Congregational Church on Saturday March 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Donna Muise Pastor officiating.
A burial will be held with military honors in Pine Grove Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to any disabled veterans association.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
