Herbert Leonard Deline, 100, passed away at home, surrounded by family, February 28, 2020. He has resided for the past 7+ years with his daughter and son-in-law at Grapevine Circle, Virginia Beach, VA. He was originally from Spofford Street, Claremont, NH.
His activities consisted of membership in the Senior Resource Center on Princess Ann Road, Virginia Beach, VA, where he played cards, enjoyed parties and was spoiled by all his friends there with great foods, care and so much love. He made friends wherever he would go and was especially close to one neighbor. Working in his wood shop was always one of his greatest passions and he continued to do so until a few weeks before passing.
His family included a daughter, Diana Bloch, son-in-law, James Bloch, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
He chose to donate his body to the Virginia State Anatomical Program. His ashes along with his wife’s will be scattered at a chosen place in Claremont, N.H, where they resided for most of their lives and always considered home.
In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral services.
The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
