Herbert Joseph Monroe, 70, of Sullivan Street in Charlestown, NH, passed away on January 26, 2019, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He was born on September 29, 1948, in Lebanon, NH, the son of Stanley Monroe and Marjorie (St Frances) Lambert.
After graduating high school, he served in the Navy and later the National Guard. He enjoyed his Native American crafts, talking about his Abenaki heritage, sports, and just being social.
His family includes his wife, Debra (Perreault) Monroe; three daughters, Tammy Bethel and her husband Dan, Kim Sullivan, Kathy Reid and her husband, John (JR); four grandchildren, Christopher Monroe, Ryan DeMond II, NyKia Reid, Danielle Bethel; two great grandsons; five sisters; two brothers; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers.
A prayer service was held on Thursday at the Stringer Funeral Home with Very Rev Father Shawn Therrien VG officiating.
