Hayford “Red” Davis, 67, of Charlestown, NH, died on October 26, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Morrisville, VT, on November 15, 1948, the son of Leo H. Davis and Emma W. (Ruggles) Connolly.
Red had worked for Beaudry Enterprises as a heavy equipment operator and previously for Putnam Farms and Okemo Mountain.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching baseball and was a Red Sox fan. He loved his saw sharpening business and visiting with neighbors and friends.
The family includes his wife, Sylvia (Charlton) Davis whom he married in June of 1970; two daughters, Victoria, Kennett and her husband, John and Michelle Silver and her husband, Victor all of Charlestown; four grandchildren, Angela Kennett, Evan Kennett, Emmalee Limoges and Erinn Limoges; three great grandchildren, Madison, Ryleigh and Kayleigh; one brother, Donald L. Davis of Springfield.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Donna Fulton.
Visiting hours will be held at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel on Main Street in Charlestown on Saturday, November 5th, from 2 to 4 PM. A reception will follow at the Charlestown VFW.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with cost of a monument.
