CONCORD, NH – Governor Maggie Hassan delivered the following remarks this morning to supporters on her victory in the New Hampshire U.S. Senate race: “As we’ve gotten more results overnight and this morning, it’s clear that we have maintained the lead and have won this race…and I am proud to stand here as the next United States Senator from New Hampshire.”
Kelly for New Hampshire spokeswoman Liz Johnson released the following statement regarding the New Hampshire Senate race: “This has been a closely contested race from the beginning and we look forward to results being announced by the Secretary of State, and ensuring that every vote is counted in this race that has received an historic level of interest.”
In other races, John Simonds was re-elected as Sheriff and Janet Gibson was elected as Register of Deeds.
Martha Hennessey won the State Senate District 5 seat.
