Gordon was born in Sutton, VT, to Myron and Priscilla (Judd) Scott. He is predeceased by his parents and all eight of his siblings, Alena, Ruth, Lillian, Frank, Blanche, Gilbert, Bessie, and Joel.
Gordon spent most of his working years as a lumber grader at Claremont Lumber before retiring from Woven Label.
Gordon possessed a green thumb and was also an accomplished hunter and fisherman. He imparted to his children a deep appreciation and respect for the natural world. He was a very pensive man who lived a life of integrity, knew not what it was to be idle, and was the most hard-working individual that many had ever had the honor of meeting. The playful sense of humor and mischievous grin that Gordon retained until the very end will be dearly missed by all.
A celebration of Gordon’s life will be held at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center, 152 South Street, on Wednesday, October 26, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. His cremains will be interred in the Scott family plot at Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont, NH, on a later date.
