George A. Normandin, 88, of Claremont, NH, died on January 31, 2017, at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Claremont, NH, born on August 1, 1928, the son of Armand “Pete” and Mary L. (Welch) Normandin.
George was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Marine Corp.
He was communicant of St. Joseph Church. He worked as a pharmacist assistant for many years at Steven’s Drug and retired from Bannon Pharmacy.
The family includes his wife, Esther (Cloutier) Normandin whom he married on September 6, 1951; two sons, Corey Alan Normandin of Scottsdale, AZ and Kurt Normandin of Claremont; two brothers, Henry “Hank” Normandin and Alfred “Fred” Normandin; a foster sister, Irene Tebo all of Claremont also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by one sister, Lucille Abbey.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday, February 3rd from 5 to 7 PM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Church on Saturday morning, at 11 AM.
Interment will be held at a later date in West Claremont Burying Ground.
The family suggests that donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice.
