David B. Haskell, 66, formerly of the Claremont and Newport area, died Saturday (April 8, 2017) at the Pheasantwood Nursing Home in Peterborough, NH.
He was born in Newport, NH on July 11, 1950, the son of Stanley and Marjorie (Parizo) Haskell and had been a longtime area resident. David served in Vietnam with the US Army from 1969-1970 and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Members of his family include two sisters, Beverly LaClair and her husband Rodney, Newport, NH; Carol Holt, Claremont, NH, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen Coull and Rebecca Haskell.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday (April 12) at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Summer Street in Newport, NH.
Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH on Wednesday (April 12) from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm when the funeral procession will leave for the cemetery.
