CLAREMONT, NH–On Wednesday, April 29, the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS), in partnership with the New Hampshire National Guard, began offering COVID-19 testing clinics through fixed and mobile sites across the State.
Claremont is one of five fixed sites. (The others are Plymouth, Lancaster, Rochester and Tamworth.) The Claremont clinic has been set up behind the Middle School. Testing will be offered from 11am to 7pm daily. The clinic will be in operation for at least the next three weeks.
Residents experiencing one or more symptoms of COVID-19 should call their healthcare provider first to request a test. The healthcare provider will submit an order to DHHS, and the COVID-19 Coordinating Office will call individuals to schedule a test at a time and location most convenient to them.
Anyone who does not have a healthcare provider and/or is uninsured should call 2-1-1 for assistance in scheduling a test. Also, arrangements will be made for residents having difficulties accessing a fixed or mobile testing site. (Eric Zengota photo).
