Beatrice Monique Laramie, 83, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022, after a brief illness. Beatrice was born on August 7, 1938, to Xavier and Angeline Lague of Claremont, NH. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1956 and married Ernest Laramie that same year. They celebrated 64 years of marriage until his death in September of 2020.
Beatrice held a variety of jobs during her life, from working in manufacturing to head of housekeeping at Valley Regional Hospital and Sullivan County Home. Although she worked hard, she had many passions and she led a very active lifestyle which included biking, kayaking, and her most favorite, hiking mountain trails. She loved doing yard work and being outside in general. She was known to make wonderful wedding cakes and beautiful Oriental rugs.
Beatrice was the best mother to Peter Laramie and wife Lynne of Nashua, NH; Simone Mata and husband David of San Antonio, TX; and Matthew Laramie of Iron Station, NC. She was Memere to nine grandchildren and Grand Memere to two great grandchildren and as Aunt Bea to everyone.
Bea loved life, laughter, her family, her friends and her church. We will all miss her dearly.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 1st at 11 o’clock in the morning at Saint Mary’s Church, 32 Pearl St., Claremont, NH, followed by burial at St. Mary’s cemetery.
