Beatrice (Bucks) Heller died suddenly on Monday, May 15, 2017, at the age of 95 in Manchester, NH.
Bea was born in Winthrop, MA, the youngest of three children. She worked in her mother’s woman’s apparel shop. She married Samuel Heller in 1952 and moved to Claremont, NH, where she raised their three children, was active in the community, and assisted at the family business, the David Heller Company men’s clothing store.
Upon their retirement, Bea and Sam moved to Aventura, FL, and enjoyed their time together with family and friends there and in their beloved NH during the summers. Bea moved to Boynton Beach, FL, after the death of Sam in 1998, to be closer to her children & grandchildren. Bea returned to NH and had resided at Bedford Falls Assisted Living in Bedford since November, 2014.
Bea leaves three children: Janice Manzi and her late husband Phil of Methuen, MA, Dr. David R. Heller and his wife Colleen of Portsmouth, NH, and Karen Heller and her husband Richard Nault of Manchester, NH. She leaves five grandchildren (Lisa, Jodi, Benjamin, Rachel, & Allie) and one great grandchild (Gabrielle).
The family would like to thank the staff of Bedford Falls for their loving care of Bea.
Funeral services will be held at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH, at 11 AM on Monday, May 22nd. Calling hours will be from 10-11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Samuel E Heller Memorial Family Scholarship, Stevens High School Alumni Association, 24 Opera House Square, Box 29, Claremont, NH 03743.
